A partnership between Toyota and BMW in order to preserve the environment

After a few years the Western countries and America and many Asian countries will apply the Strict standards for the European Union to cut carbon emissions for cars to 130 gm of carbon dioxide per kilometer by 2015, Toyota and BMW has signed an agreement between them for a wide participation in the development of environmentally friendly cars.
The companies said in a statement that participation will include research collaboration on the next-generation technology of lithium batteries used in electric vehicles.
According to the deal , BMW will provide the European unity for Toyota with diesel engines (diesel) High efficiency in 2014.
The engines will be installed in some of Toyota cars that are produced for the European market.
Japanese company seeks to extend the agreement through its product lines and sales of cars powered by diesel engines, high fuel efficiency and low carbon emissions in Europe.
Norbert Ryanthofer chairman of BMW said that "We now combine our efforts to develop technologies for more environmentally friendly and innovative expansion of our partnership in each of our sectors."
